On the most basic level, my work reflects my enduring fascination with painting and drawing, but it also reflects my fascination with the physical world I inhabit, and my emotional response to it. These two things are perhaps inextricably connected, since the subjects I choose invariably have some symbolic significance, which might either be very personal, or more universally understandable. There is also a sense in which my work is expressionist, and fulfils a personal need, in a way that is difficult to adequately explain.
